Carpenter Container Corp. Painted Fiber Drum

Vintage fiberboard storage drum with a hand-painted fruit basket motif on a black ground. Manufactured by the Carpenter Container Corporation, featuring a 'Sanitary-Sealed-Drum' interior with patent dates from 1922 and 1923. Construction includes a wooden base and lid with a metal reinforced bottom rim and a wire ring handle on the lid. Shows surface wear, paint loss, and scuffing throughout. Measures 8 1/2"h x 12" dia.
